I am a practicing registered nurse and lifelong musician. I played folk guitar for many years in various community settings, often leading sing-alongs with children and elderly adults. I decided to pursue harp when I saw a woman with a portable harp playing the most gorgeous tones for patients in the hospital where I work. Years of lessons later, I completed the ‘Harp for Healing’ Clinical Musician Certification Program, an intensive course which is accredited by the National Standards Board of Therapeutic Musicians.
My personal belief is that music should be offered as a service to others, rather than a ‘performance.’ My therapeutic harp work brings me the greatest joy, and is the perfect blending of my wish to heal and my love of music.
